Worth clicking to see the whole image. We live in an amazing Universe and there are some amazing scientists and engineers that are allowing us to explore it through large telescopes placed in space.
Here's a recent image from the James Webb Space Telescope showing a supernova remnant in the constellation Cassiopeia. It's about 11,000 light years away and light from it would have reached Earth in the late 1600s. I think it's amazing that we can see the remnants of the outer layers of an exploding star and that they have such intricate detail.
Here I brought out some faint details in the image so you can see them a bit better and then made it look a bit more pleasing to the eye (in my opinion) and then formatted it so you guys could use it as a phone background/wallpaper if you like. Hope you enjoy!
